Washington, Idaho, & Utah (November 9 – 11, 2017)

From BC, I spent a night in Spokane, Washington; a night in Parma, Idaho; and a night in Salt Lake City, Utah to position myself to explore some of Utah’s National Parks. There were many spots to snap photos along the route, including a snowy Lake Pend Oreille in Washington, a stretch of the Snake River called Devil’s Wash Bowl in Idaho, and of course the Great Salt Lake in Utah. I threw a dart at a mental dartboard and selected the Spiral Jetty, an ‘earthwork sculpture’ created by Robert Smithson in 1970, as the spot from which to view the lake. Oh, and any fans of the classic computer game Oregon Trail should appreciate Ollie tied up next to a Fort Boise replica during the Idaho stretch!

I got this time lapse at a truck stop in Idaho and this one at the Great Salt Lake. (And of course this was the soundtrack.)
