From Acadia National Park I inched my way across the Canadian border, through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, to my destination of Cape Breton (where I was to attend– and officiate!– the wedding of one of my oldest and dearest friends). I had perfect weather and really ate up the lovely views along the Bay of Fundy. I had a lovely vegetarian meal in Moncton, NB the night of the 7th and decided Truro, NS would make a good spot to rest my head. From there it was a quick 3-ish hour drive in equally lovely weather to the island of Cape Breton, along which I passed many quaint towns with beautiful barns and churches as their identifying features.
