I’m told I was taken to Yugoslavia as a wee infant, but my European ventures had yet to bring me to the nation of Croatia in the time since it re-claimed that moniker in 1991. So I was super jazzed when a good friend decided to get married there, and extra jazzed that she was a family friend and so it turned into a bit of a family vacation as well.

I caught an early flight from Munich to Split the morning of the 26th, just in time to suit up and tag along for a divine bachelorette boat tour in the Adriatic. The next day I got some quality time with my family to and explore the intricate, labyrinthine city before the rehearsal dinner; the following day was the wedding, comprised of both a Catholic and a Hindu ceremony (and more importantly, an outrageous dance party). A gorgeous affair full of family and friends, old and new!

And the next day I was on the bus to Zagreb to head back to New Orleans! A mission that would NOT go according to plan! Stay tuned!
